Well just like that I am 30 years old. I had some anxiety about turning 30... the 20s were just so much fun!! When I thought about what I did over the past 10 years it was quite overwhelming. Not to "toot my own horn" but I think I have accomplished a lot for a new 30 year old. A few highlights from my 20s:
-I made some of the best friends I will ever have
-I met and married the love of my life
- I graduated college and started my first job at Wachovia (which I have now been with for almost 8 years!)
- I changed jobs within the bank 3 times and received multiple promotions
- I bought my first house and then became a landlord...
- I moved to a new city
- We (me and Chris of course) sold Chris's house and built our first home together
- I became a mom to 2 wonderful cats
-We became an Aunt and Uncle to the cutest Niece ever
A lot of hard work, a lot of play, and A LOT of blessings in my 20s!
So, in usual fashion I was traveling for work on my actual Birthday. I typically travel alone or with one other co-worker but that week my boss and several other co-workers were with me and it was such a nice treat. They made sure my day was special even though I was away from home!
The Ladies at Dinner- Perry's in Dallas (best steak ever)
Mom surprised me and had Cakeballs delivered to my hotel room- delicious and such a nice surprise!
And when I returned home from traveling Chris had flowers/cards/cake/presents waiting for me :)
Spoiled!
Happy Birthday to Renny as well! I hated that I couldn't be there on her actual birthday but we celebrated a few days early. You can see her Birthday post from last year here: http://www.perfectlytaylored1.blogspot.com/2013/12/happy-birthday-ren.html
Love you, Renny!
I have a great feeling that my 30s will be just as fun as my 20s. Cheers to a new decade! We continued the Birthday celebration in New York the next weekend- post on that soon. Hope everyone is gearing up for Christmas!
