Beach TRIP!

Last week we went to Hilton Head.  It was a great TRIP!  I am emphasizing the word trip because everyone has asked how our "Vacation" was and while we had a great time I would call it more of a trip ;)  Vacation would imply relaxing/sleeping in etc...  Not much of that happens with a 9 month old!  It was so fun to spend the week with her though.  We felt like she learned and grew so much in one week.  She started crawling and babbling more and tasted a few new foods.  Daycare was so impressed with her when she got back that they decided to move her to the big kids class starting next week!
The first few days my family joined us.  Anna had so much fun with her older cousins Caroline and Abby.  I think this might be why she started crawling...

Family shot!
These 3 are just too cute together!
Matching strawberry girls!
Some people have asked how we kept Anna from eating sand constantly...  Chris dug a hole each day and we put the towel over it and put Anna in the hole with some toys ;)  She still ate a lot of sand, but it kept her occupied for a little while at least.
The second half of the week our friends Chris and Megan joined us with their 17 month old baby, Ellie.  Ellie and Anna have the same "hair style,"  short in the front/long in the back.  It's too cute!  It's how my hair was until I was 3 years old apparently.  I keep telling Anna she will have hair one day!  Anyway, everyone we went people asked if Ellie and Anna were twins/sisters.  It will be interesting to see if they still look alike when they get a little older.
Chris had so much fun playing with Anna in the sand
On our last night we went out to the beach in hopes are getting some good family shots.  The wind was HORRIBLE!  They didn't exactly turn out as we had planned...
 Terrible wind!
 This one turned out cute!
So then we opted to take the photo session off the beach and that worked out a little better :)

It was a great first beach trip for Anna! Next year we will be chasing her around- hard to believe!
