Need a Sick Day- Please!

Have you seen that Dayquil commercial where the mom looks at her toddler and says she is going to take a sick day and the toddler looks at her like she has 5 heads?! Well, that's kind of how I have been feeling.  I am not sick (thank goodness and let's keep it that way) but this motherhood thing is CONSTANT.  I haven't slept more than 3 consecutive hours in 6 weeks.  I really want to tell Anna that I just need a sick day!  Luckily we have great family who have been able to come up here and there to help relieve us some, but it's really starting to sink in that life is different now. Let's just hope the all night crying doesn't last much longer...

In the meantime we have been doing some Fall activities like putting Anna in a pumpkin :)  Anything for a good picture, right?!

At first she screamed...

Then we gave her a bottle and settled her down and got a few cute pictures!

Notice she is wearing the NAM.  We never let her go without it.  In fact, I am not sure if I updated since our first weekly visit to the orthodontist, but we all received an A+ for the first week.  The doctor was so impressed with her progress in just one week!  He gave us extra room to pull together for this next week and if we can get the same results again then he will go ahead and put the nose stint in. Originally he predicted it would be at least 6 weeks before she would get the nose stint.  We go tomorrow (10/28) to see how she did on her 2nd week. There were a few times this week at 2am that Anna decided to pull the NAM out and we had to do the whole 20 min process of cleaning it, putting new Fixodent in and holding it in place to let it set. It crossed my mind to just let it be until the morning but we can already see such great results and we wouldn't want to backtrack any.

This is after just one week!
Sporting a Halloween Onesie
Anna also attended her first Ladies Lunch last Friday.  She did great- slept till the very end.
One more pic- Such a dramatic sleeper

In other news- the State Fair has been in town the past 2 weeks and if you all know Chris you know he LOVES the Fair. I don't love it, but I go because I know how much he enjoys it.  We don't ride any rides, we just eat fried food, see the bunnies and play a few games.  Mom was in town last Wednesday so she kept Anna while we went for a few hours.
 Love a good Mum!
Hoping for another good report tomorrow at the doctor.  We also just got Anna's newborn pictures back- I will post some of those soon.  Happy early Halloween!
