On the road again...

It's been kind of a theme lately... We travel almost every weekend (and during the week for me).  A neighbor told me the other day that we just need to start saying No to things and stay home.  It's so hard though,  I want to be able to do everything and see everyone.  Anna has been traveling since a very young age and she does so well in the car (95% of the time).  So, that's helpful!   Here's what we were up to in March and early April!

Annie Kivett Schroder finally arrived on March 26th! I say finally, but really she was very prompt- born on her due date!  I thought she was going to be early, so it felt like eternity waiting for her to arrive.  She's the cutest little bundle ever!  I was able to go meet her last night and she was oh so sweet.

How does the new Mom look so good?! I need to know what her concealer is...
 Snoozing away!
Enjoying a first Pizza Dinner with us.  How appropriate :)
I can't wait for Anna to meet her.  Soon enough!

Also born on March 26th was Abby- except 2 years ago!  I can't believe she is 2. Here are a few pics from her 2-Tu party!

 With Renny :)
 Sweet Cousins

This means Anna turns 2 in less than 6 months.  How can that be?!

In March we also went to the beach with the Chesson's.  It's an annual tradition to watch the ACC games together.  We started this probably 5 years ago and now we both have kids.  It makes for a little bit of a different experience, but still so fun!  We always look forward to it!

Uncle Matthew reading to Anna- sweet!

On Saturday we went to the Aquarium.  Anna LOVED it!  We could have stayed for hours!  Note- 5 years ago we would have spent Saturday recovering from Friday night  :)

Then Saturday night as we were leaving to go out (babysitter had arrived), Anna grabbed her purse and decided she needed to go out as well.  We entertained the thought for about a second :)
 Always such a good time!
Some other March happenings- Anna's first pigtails!!

Early March we went to Florida for a Wedding (without Anna).  We drove to Charlotte and Renny  and Aunt Ashley watched her for the weekend.  I didn't get many pictures, but it was a nice weekend away.

Anna also got her first haircut in March!  It was about time.  The Mullet style was getting a little out of control.  April at Peek-a-Doo did a great job and we are planning to go back this weekend to get another small trim!

Big girl walking out of the salon with her new Bob cut!

Also in March... a case of the Flu!  Ugh it was awful.  Poor Anna broke out in hives in response to the virus, had a 103 fever for a few days and the usual cough/congestion and runny nose.  Half of her class was out as well.  It's so hard  with two working parents to take off every time she is sick.  This time Chris got a "Hall Pass" because he had people in town from SF, so I got the lovely duty of taking off.   I loved spending the extra time with Anna, I just wished she felt better and wished I didn't have 300 emails to come back to...
How pitiful does she look?!  She actually never really acts sick though.  She is such a trooper!
Anna came down with the Flu the same day as Wells' 1st Bday party.  Chris was nice enough to stay home with her and let me go hang out for a little while.  Love these girls that I have known pretty much my whole life!
How cute was this cake and cupcakes?  Also delicious!
 Wells thought so too!
Also turning 1 in March was Cole! Again, such a cute cake and party!  This time Anna was feeling better and able to attend the party!

Eating cake with Renny.  She loves some cake!
This past weekend we also went up to Lynchburg for the day to celebrate Uncle Rick. Rick was one of the most admirable people I will ever know.  Rick and Becky felt like a second set of parents to "The Six" in college (and after).  We will miss him so much but are thankful for the time we were able to spend with him and thankful for the many things he taught us.  It was a beautiful day and a beautiful service.

 Anna especially enjoyed meeting Lee!

This last set of pictures was made one day after school, just a normal day.  I always have pick-up duty, which I love.  I get a few hours of Anna just to myself while I am trying to make dinner and dash around the house doing a gazillion other things.  But really,  I love this time with her.  We take selfies and dance in the kitchen and laugh.  She gets out everything known to man from the cabinets and after she goes to bed I spend 30 minutes picking everything up.  I wouldn't trade it for the world!  I love watching her grow up but I wish time would just stand still right now because it's such a fun age!  She brings so much joy to our lives and I am thankful everyday.

Hope everyone is having a nice Spring!
