Florence

Florence was only a 2 hour train ride away from Venice, so we arrived shortly before dinner time on Thursday.  The trains in Europe were really nice.  Sure beats the Amtrak that is consistently running over an hour late whenever I take it!

 

Dinner in Florence was nice.  There was a group of girls from SC, eating at the same restaurant.  They were studying abroad and it was their second night in the city and they were rather loud.  I told Chris that they looked fun and it reminded me of the "6."  He agreed, but said the "6" would have been even louder :)

We only spent one night in Florence, which was nice because our hotel room was not all that great!  It was clean, so that's all that matters.  1 Day was enough to do most things in Florence.  We saw David at the Accademia Gallery, and the Duomo and other sites.

 

Last stop- Rome!  Pics to come soon.  We have a pool date with some friends this afternoon.  I can't wait to get some much needed sun!
